Hi,

I went out shooting yesterday with my G1 and enjoyed the balance of the body with the 35mm Planar attached. In my view the G1 just handles particularly nice with the 35mm. The 45mm and 90mm add more weight and sit a bit further away from the centre of the body.

Might still be a relict from the 35mm having been my first G lens. Never handled a 28mm Biogon in anger. I could well imagine it balances similar to the 35mm.

As usual, your mileage might vary.

It handles also very well with a G2 body altough the apeture ring is a bit thin on the 35mm as it is on the 28mm.

That goes with the small size of he lens ;)

Actually I never have a problem with that. But then the 35 is my most used lens and my motoric memory is well programmed for this

Anyway, why do you want to set apertures? It is an aperture priority camera. With me that means f/5.6 and be there! :D

Jaap, thanks for your comments :)
