I've not had any problems with the stock hood either.
To be fair though, I don't really use the 35 Summicron Asph as heavily as some as my other lenses.

I actually really liked the 35 Summicron ASPH hood when I had it, in my opinion I vastly prefer it to the new version as it's considerably smaller. Mine never wiggled or popped off once in the time I had the lens.

Never had an issue w mine either. Rock solid. I actually bought a like new 12504 but never used it as the stock plastic one provides better protection. I will be selling it.
