35mm Summicron filter size w/ hood???

Hello folks,

I'm about to purchase a filter for my 35 summicron and just wanted to make sure the filter size is 39mm.

Main question is, I know the hood takes a filter .. so would it be the same as the lens? 39mm.

The 12504 hood uses Series VII filters.

I believe the hood he is referring to is an aftermarket (American Eagle) which screws in (39mm).

39mm filter would be right. Do try to get a clip-on hood like the OEM 12524 (rectangular plastic), they're much nicer. The IROOA or the 12585 fit too.
