35mm ultron lens cap alternatives

Hi. I recently purchased a ultron off ebay, It comes with the hood and cap but I was wondering if it was possible to take off the hood and use a clip on cap, and if so what size? 39mm? thanks

I use a "Heavy Star" vented and tilted hood that has a clip-in cap. Works well if you remember to take off the cap.

The Ultron takes 39mm filters, so yes, a 39mm clip-in cap would work.

I find it easier to remember not to let it get hit in the face by the sun than I do to remember to take the lens cap off before shooting, so I just do without.

i have the same hood as Larry H-L. i find it give enough protection that i just throw the camera in my shoulder bag without a lens cap at all.

maybe not ideal, but i'm not afraid of a little dust 🙂
