I just received my new 35mm Zeiss Biogon from Tony this afternoon. I have an M3 and want to get a viewfinder, not a multi-finder. What are the opinions out there?

Leitz?
Voigtlander?
Or.........

Thanks,
Steve

I have a Voigtlander 35mm black plastic finder. For my right eye, it has too much negative correction--I think it's -1.0. It's hard for my eye to focus. The newer CV model may be better.

The Leitz finder I remember as great, although my eyes may have changed a little since mine was stolen in Milan in 1964.

Some say the Russian 35mm finder is quite good; it usually goes for about $30.

Helios makes a finder that looks like the small Voigtlander one. It has lines for 35, 85, and 135 built in. I don't have one, so I can't tell you about build quality, but I do know that a few members do, and enjoy them. I'm trying to get one myself.

I checked everything out and decided to go with the VC Mini 28/35 Viewfinder. I like the idea of having a low profile VF as well as having both 28mm and 35mm all in one.
It keeps the camera as small as possible.

My thanks to all who gave me their input.

Steve
