If I learned anything these 15 years with Leicas is never sell a lens you like because you will spend more money buying it back eventually. With bodies there are always alternative. Sell the M8 pronto and if that is not enough then sell the M4 too. You can always get an M2 or Bessa R2a later.

M8 is digital and digital cameras are not known to hold their value well over time ... (The M8.2 is already announced) Both of your lenses are the best in these FL you can buy but replacing any of them in the future will cost you more than you originally payed (If you are lucky to find one at all ...) So for me it would be the M8 (which also should bring most money) that I would sell. M4 is a good choice by the way 🙂

Thank you for all the replies 🙂 Certainly, I got some solid advice. I made the decision to sell both lenses. I know it doesn't make much sense to a lot here, but to me the M8 is more important - since going back to film isn't an option right now. The money will go towards the car, but also cheaper 35mm and 50mm lenses.
