4 years late, a Leica M8 at last

Just wonderful.... I feel like getting an M8 (and some lenses) right now... You guys are making it almost irresistible! :(

I got an M8 a few months ago and I have to say I'm pretty happy not to be lugging around a dslr any more. The quirks are real: it's louder than it should be, the framelines are off (compared to film M cameras) but it's a pretty good camera and I've been making good images with it...

Hi Damaso, this post is really a sign of the time: at last everyone is JUST ENJOYING the M8, not bothering and finnicking around on some in-real-life not-annoying quirks - these just don't outweigh the advantages.
I myself have made >20.000 captures and appreciating the camera every day more, even I don't give a d@m# about the IR issue. Two new lenses just blow my head off, so much to enjoy.

Colin, thank you for directing me to those wonderful photos of the M8
They are, genuinely, some of the best photos I have seen from an M8
I had one for a while, and sold it for various reasons. It was not my favourite camera, although I did prefer the look and feel of many of the photos I took with it than those from other digital cameras.
However, I think you have demonstrated what we all really know - it is not the camera that takes great photographers, but the person using it.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful journey to your M8. I too recently acquired my first M8 and can't wait till i get my hands on it. My photos won't be as nice as yours for sure.
