40 f2 slii on a canon

I just obtained a canon 5d mk ii. i know it's no rf but i need something high quality and digital. I'm looking for a great standard prime for it. does anyone have any experience with the 40 sl ii for voigtlander? Seems to be a great deal on a good mf lens. BTW mf is not a problem for me. anybody have any thoughts on the leica r offerings for this mount?

Honestly use either the Canon 50mm f1.4 or the Sigma 50mm f1.4.
Both are excellent lenses, both are easily under $500.
I found my Canon 50mm f1.4 forabout $250 used and it's a work horse.

I use the Ultron 40mm f2 on either the 5D or 5DMII and like it. It's sharp across the field and I consider it equal or superior to the Canon 50mm f1.4 wide open. I have a facebook gallery here:

Do yourself a favor and get that 40mm. In my opinion its the best normal lens available for EOS. Its nicer than the Zeiss, and the Canon 50 1.2. I love the small size of it, and even more the decent price. If I didn't have the 17-40 I'd spring for the 20mm as well.
