40mm Nokton and M3 Framelines?

I'm curious as to how accurate the total area of the M3 VF, outside the 50mm lines, would be for a 40mm Nokton. Seems like a 40 and 90 would be a sweet combo.

can't say for sure but i would think the total area outside of the 50mm fl would cover way more than the 40.

Have you tried a 35mm on the M3 without eyes?

i just did a quick check, i put a 35mm finder in the shoe and took a good look and then did the same through the m3's finder. they covered about the same area but i had to move my eye around quite a bit to see that.
not a convenient way to shoot.

You can't go wrong with 40mm lense, I use to shot with 40 summicrom on M3 was perfect!
If you use a 35mm, think 15% wider than what the finder shows.
