It's raining cats and dogs here in Houston today, and boredom rules. So I was sitting by the computer and decided to test the frameline accuracy of the RD-1 with the switch set to the 35mm focal length. It turns out that the image area recorded with a 40mm summicron-C almost exactly matches the 35mm framelines, while the 35mm gives about an extra 15-20% than is shown by the framelines when you are focusing at about 15 feet. FYI interesting factoid.

Agreed.
Reason why the Summicron-C has become my favourite when i bring a single lens with the R-D1.
Best,

The Summi and the Minolta are the same lens, and yes, the 35mm framelines are a perfect match for it.

Not for the R-D1 (at least mine) i'm afraid.
I've got focussing issues with the Rokkor-M but none with the Summicron-C.
