I think the real news of the release is that it records 41 megapixels and makes a 5 megapixel image out of those. One pixel is calculated from 7 pixels on the sensor to eliminate noise, and the resulting image is supposed to greatly benefit from that.

Sounds like my next phone. I'm amazed more streetshooters havent yet discovered the beauty of a cellphone for street shots. The ubiquity of phones allows you to photograph basically anything unmolested as long as you do so with a modicum of discretion i.e. just play dumb and act like youre doing something with your phone.
