41mm UV/IR solution

Hi Folks,

I do have a problem:
I have acquired this beautiful Summarit 1,5/50mm for my Leica M8 and now I am searching for a solution to fix a UV/IR filter in front of the lens.

I have been in contact with Foto Huppert, and unfortunately B+W does not make 41mm filters anymore.
The only solution would be a 41 to 46mm stepup, which I don't think is really elegant, as part of the beauty of this lens is its compactness.

Any other ideas what to do?

I used a 41 tp 43 step up ring and a vented 43mm hood.
