Canon LTM 48 mm hood for Canonet Ql17?

Looks like I am 2 years too late to look for the cool square ones from camerhunter.com, and nothing on the Bay as yet.

I found this one listed

Anyone tried it? I am concerned it might block the light meter adjacent to the filter thread.

The screw-in hoods do tend to affect the meter reading (not that the Canonet meter is spectacularly accurate). The original Canonet 4 or 5 hood clamps on the outside of the filter ring. These are superb hoods, but are rare and expensive.
