4th Body? :-(

First body (16xx), took couple thousand pictures, then the battery gauge died. Should have kept that one.

2nd body (1888). Great number! Alas, the RF is hosed right out of the box.

3rd body (19xx). Worked for a couple weeks. Now the vertical RF is hosed. I will be sending it back tomorrow....

Will it never end :-(

This board is slowly making me nervous with all the reported problems.
I hope my R-D1 keeps on working the way it does .... would not know what to do without it .............. i'm enjoying this camera so much i did not touch my 1Ds since i got it!

Richard...some folks have been sending there's to DAG for rangefinder service instead of doing the swap with Epson. The service probably wouldn't cost much more than the 3 shipping charges you have/would endure by turning to Epson. Here's more info on that at Photo.net:

I've been through 2 bodies with focus problems and ended up getting a refund from Epson on the second...but I'm thinking about trying a third, with DAG in mind.
