saw this on ebay. as you see the lens does focus past infinity, a little but simply noticeable.
ask this since every single one of my leica lenses stops exactly at the center of its own infinity mark.

Slight defect, but probably does not have any optical effect. Should be priced accordingly.

Gee, it looks lined up to me -- particularly since the lens is turned slightly to the right in the picture. The key question is whether it causes the rangefinder image to go past infinity; that would be a problem.

after looking hard at my copy for a minute, I decide that it has the same "defect".

Is this a RF lens or a distance meter?

Is this a joke? I mean it might be past by 0.1mm if I tilt my head and squint my eyes. Some people...

The metric infinity is more spot on than the imperial one, as befits those fussy Continentals and Canuks with furry snow mittens on. ;-)

Jesus, you people stare at eBay photos too much. I can't imagine anyone even reading something into that. I've gotten bizarre questions about my eBay photos too, some really crazy.

Well, the universe is expanding after all, so...
Or: if you focus really fast, you will compensate for this blatant error in the time-space continuum... Harf

This must go along with it getting much darker as well, necessitating ISOs above 3200.
