50mm f1.4 LTM

hey guys, i'm pretty new to RFs - obtained M8 + cv nokton 35/1,4 + canon 50/1,4 ltm.

i learnt that there are 2 versions of the canon 50/1,4 - mk I and II.

is there any major difference in optical performance between the 2? i checked and mine is mk I as the distance indicator only states meters and not in feet as well.

Optically, they are both the same. 6 elements in four groups, used a newer glass with a high index of refraction. Most planar formula f1.4 lenses were 7 elements in 5 groups, so this new glass was a real improvement.
