50mm Framelines M6 .85x, M6ttl, MP

Hi, Does anyone know how the 50mm framelines coverage - that is the angle of view, not the magnification - of the M6 .85x and the M6 ttl .85x campare to the framelines in the .72x M6 & M6 ttl?

I want another M6, but for 50's, I REALLY can't stand the reduced coverage of the 50 framelines in the M6, M6ttl. The MP finder's has a much improved, IMHO, 50mm frameline more like the older M2/M4/early M4-2.

I've yet to get my hands on a .85x M6 or M6ttl though, and I'm wondering if the 50 frameline coverage of those models is any better than the contemporary .72x finder, or the same??

I dont know the technical answer but I can tell you that I have an M6 classic with an .85 finder and absolutely loathe the 50mm lines in comparison to my m2 or m4, Im always catching craps in the edges that I had intended to crop out. This never happens with the 2 or 4 finder... Barely barely use the camera anymore as a result. hopefully this helps a little.
 
Yeah that helps a lot, and that's what I was afraid of. I really wanted a metered body, but maybe I'll get the M3 I've always wanted instead. I just want a solid 50 shooter. Round corners or not! :)
 
Tough question though. I use an M6TTL 0.85x (besides an M4-P) for 50mm and have no problem with the FL at all. Before that it was an M3 but wearing glasses, the 0.85x was the better - and compared to the MP - more affordable solution.
 
I went M3 route along my M6 specifically to facilitate the convenience of 50mm frames. I do wear spectacles, but M3 50mm frame are still convenient to use and enlarged RF patch contributes greatly to somewhat easier focusing.
