Hi all,
I've been slowly building up a set of lenses for my various M bodies - while i feel i've hit all the focal lengths i like (15, 21, 35, 50, 90) and don't feel i need any more, my 50mm is the Nokton f1.1 which can be quite a beast if my setup for the day is a 2 body 21mm/50mm street shooting kit, working at f8-f16. I'm often tempted to use my 35mm Nokton f1.4 instead just because of it's size, but i just really love the 50mm focal length.
So, i've been considering a more compact 50 for such situations as my final lens.
The CV 50 f2.5 is on the shortlist because it is just so very tiny, but i am a fan of bokeh, so for a little more size, the f1.5 of the Nokton and Summarit are attractive to me should i see the opportunity to isolate a subject.
Oh, i should mention - my budget cannot stretch further than around $700 which i believe the Summarit falls within? And really, that's pushing it. Feel free to correct me on this as it then pretty much settles the question.
It seems that while they're both similarly specced, the character of these lenses seem quite different, each with their own pros and cons - so, forgetting the brand, which do you like of those two, and why?
Does it not make much difference? Is the CV a bargain in comparison? Stopped down, are they much different?
Photographic examples or comparisons would be really appreciated!
(BTW, all my lenses are currently CV lenses, apart from my 2nd 35mm which is a f3.5 Summaron that lives on my M2 - the Nokton was purchased for my M6 TTL and CL in the name of Bokeh and low light use, but i passed on the f1.2 because of it's size)
Thank you for your time 🙂
