50mm Summilux ASPH and non-ASPH size/weight difference?

Hi all,

I am looking to buy a new 50mm lens. I have good experience with the current summilux, but I like the look of the non-ASPH one (from what I've seen online).

Is there a difference in the size and weight of the ASPH and non-ASPH versions?

The non-ASPH looks a bit smaller/shorter, but I have only seen picture. Any help is much appreciated.

they are actually about the same size/weight. immaterial diff.

The E46 non-asph and asph versions are the same size; both have retracting hoods and focus to .7

The 2nd version E43 that close focusses to only 1 m [oprically identical to the 3rd E46 non-asph version] is smaller without its hood. But once the hood is used, there's no size advantage.

Maybe I got my lenses wrong. I don't know much about previous Leica lenses. The one I am talking about is this one:
