50mm Summilux V.1 in Black?

Recently, I obtained a black 50mm Summilux V.1 lens.

I have contacted to Lothar at Leica, and he confirmed that the lens was produced originally in black.

In the mean time, I have googled for the lens, but I could not find pictures for the same lens. Most lens were V.2 instead of V.1 by serial numbers. 😕

How rare a black V.1 lens is?

Anyone has the same version lens??? 😀

I had one for a short while. Very rare.

I traded it for a 50mm Summilux ASPH.

There were some black paint Summilux V1 lenses...Perhaps you can search Westlicht Auctions-I'm pretty sure they've auctioned bp V1's...

I have checked all M lenses of Westlicht Auctions, and found 4 lenses were auctioned in 2004(1), and 2008(3).

It looks they are very rare and more valuable than a black V.2 lens.
