OK, bored this morning, kinda grey and wet outside, not wanting to do anything inside.

I rallied my few photography skills and some of my stuff....... here is what I got with a Canon A80 digi P&S.

I had it fixed too. The lovely quality of the Leica 35/2 Summicron, for all of your "Leica is God" folks, the front retaining ring is GLUED on. How is that for quality construction? So, it does get loose, and I did have it repaired and was given a lecture by Sherry about her disappointment in the way Leica is building lenses these days.

I have some type of hood for the Elmer. I caught hooditis from Joe, so I have accessorized myself quite well. I still can't believe what I paid for the IROOA, and I got a great deal for it. When I dish for the "proper" hood for my Canon 50/1.2 then I will know I am crazy. Of note, I found a Kodak Series VI hood and 42mm push on adaptor that fits the J8, J3, 50 Summicrons, Nikkor 50/2 the Canon 40mm threaded lenses..... a cheap all in one alternative if you are looking for one.

Thank you Joe,

Francisco, I lost track too. I have admitted though that I am a collector, and that I have a lot of years ahead of me so I don't need to buy everything NOW.

This has been good for my GAS, when I get the urge I look for a nice deal, and if it isn't there, I have convinced myself it will be tomorrow.

A little at a time. I should have shot the Canon VT too, oh well, next time. 🙂

Who's next?
Heh. Sometime soon.

When packing to move house, I had to get all my gear out in one place to pack t, and I really scared myself. When the move is complete I'll need to unpack it again, and that will be a golden opportunity to document the madness.

You have a VT? Isn't that related to the P you have or is that another Barnack-clone?

You should start a catalogue...

The P technically is a Canon VI series camera. The VT is earlier, with a 3 magnification adjustable viewfinder, and split shutter speed dial compared to the VI cameras.

Aren't those chrome Canon lenses (pic 3) awesome? The P beats all the M2, M3, M4s IMHO @ $300. Just get a bunch of CV finders and shoot.

Ralph:
These are beautiful sets of camera equipment.
You have good taste, I must admit.
As for the 35mm Summicron, I have the first version (with goggles).
Is this one also poor in construction quality? I doubt it.

Roland: I love the new camera.

Ralph: I just couldn't get it over my heart to sell that 35/2 ....

Ha, I wondered what happened. I was just shilling for you, of course without your knowledge. I didn't want to see the lens sell for too little, and I saw it there with a low price on it so I thought I would try to drum up some interest by raising the bid a bit!!! If the auction went to the end I am sure I would not have won.

Nice kits there by the way.

Great Raid, best work-horse currently available for reasonable price, IMO. Enjoy it, makes a great combo with the Nikkor 85/2 !

Roland.

Roland: I should have better stated my earlier comment.
I like "your new camera" ! I am still looking/waiting ...

Wow, great looking kits Roland! Thanks for sharing. You may not have bought anything new in September. But these photos may provoke others to make purchases that will preclude them from making the same claim!! I should say that your love of the M3 seems to be wearing off on me. I am thinking more and more that I will look for one as my next M body.

I was wondering (OT): we talked about RF users being bike riders, chess players, fountain pen collectors, etc. How about furniture, anybody recognize the chair ? My grand father, my god father, and my father all had one

Roland, sorry, my eyes wondered directly to the glass in your M6... and couldn't identify neither. What is that lens that needs a viewfinder?

As for the chair... In this computer I can only see it's nice, plush leather. Better quality than mine I should add! 🙂

At a guess, a CV 25 Color Skopar and from the shape of the hood, the other is a Cron. Am I right?
