I apologize if this thread is misplaced. If so, I beg to any moderator to move it to the right place.
Any one know's were I can find 620 film spools? or even better
, Xp2 or FP4+/Hp5+ 620 film?
I want to try my grandfather's kodak, but as the warning in the back of the came says, "only use 620 kodak film! This camera does not take 120 film!"

First, try the camera to see if a 120 roll will fit in either side. Some cameras will take a 120 spool on the take-up or supply side, which is handy.
Otherwise, ebay... I've got several laying around that came with old cameras. You might be as well off buying an old 620 camera or 2 on the cheap as ordering 620 spools, which seem to go on the steep side for my tastes.

I agree with Steve. If you know there is at least one 620 spool inside the camera, it is quite often cheaper to buy the camera than to buy a spool from someone selling them.
There are a number of articles on the 'net dealing with respooling 120 film onto 620 spools, so you might Google for that.
There are a couple companies that respool the film for you and charge accordingly. I don't recall who is still in business at this point, so perhaps Google would be of assistance there as well.

BHphotovideo has plus-x in 620 for $10 a roll. Fastest and simplest method, probably cheapest too.

i have mentioned this before and it works for me . if you sand done both ends of a 120 spool it will fit in a 620 camera .

This is true. 120s are just a touch too long and too wide.

yeah it works . not the prettiest way to do it but i have only one old 620 folder and i can't justify the expense of the 620 film . plus i always have 120 laying around .

I've gone the 120 route before -- I simply trimmed down the outer edge of the 120 spool with a pair of fingernail clippers. Not pretty, but effective.

Modifying the 120 film spools works for many cameras, but not all of them! For your specific model, you could try sanding or clipping the ends of the 120 spool to see if it will function. Even then, sometimes the 120 spool will jam inside the camera while winding through a roll of film. So, trial and error is important in this regard.
For finding more 620 spools, you might try antique stores and flea markets. Most likely, you'll have to buy old 620 film cameras to get the spools inside them. Old camera shops might even give you a few. Respooling the 120 film onto a 620 spool is really easy, so don't be afraid of trying it.

Hallo,
first, already tried a 120 spool on the camera, to large. Second, the change of the films spools, 120 to 620, still need a second 620 to have the film roll wehn shooting. The third, and also seen option, of triming the 120 plastic spool. Well, possibly my last option. Jus to try what the camera does, possibly onle one time.
