645 pictures at f/1.4

Lens is from Oude Delft, 112mm f/1.4. I think it's an aerial reconnaissance design from the 60's, for 6x6 format, but it was used in a X-ray lab 30+ years ago. Fixed aperture and fixed focus. I adapted it to FF digital sometime ago, but here it is on a Mamiya M645 1000s with M65 hardware. Focuses to about 4-5 meters at most. Shot on PAN-F. I managed to underexpose :bang:. Needless to say, focus is a bit off and the lens is bulky.

Looks good to me! That is amazing.

I'm guessing that is the fastest lens used on on a 645 camera...

It most likely is the fastest lens for a 645 camera. This reminds me of my WW!! 10x10 camera with its Kodak 362 mm 1.66. It was not really meant for portraits.

362mm f/1.66 at 10x10! Wow. Goes to show that when there is a will and a (military/research) budget, there aren't many limits in optical designs.

When I get my Pentax 67 back I'll try the lens on 6x7. Not sure what the focus range will be.

I posted about this camera at RFF a few years ago. It was used for surveillance over Japan.

Here's a shot on the Pentax 6x7. Maximum focus distance ~1m and very hard to focus.

Woo-hoo! Very cool. My Pentax 645 has ordered me to get one. It makes my Aus Jena Biometar 120/2.8 look like one slow dog.
