670 US for this M2. Worth it?

I paid $700 for mine about 5 months ago. It has new leatherette and had a CLA. I bought it from Youxin himself. It works beautifully.

Just get it. Everyone needs an M2. If it doesn't work, put it on your Steinway grand, next to a framed picture from Cartier-Bresson and tell everyone that you love documenting poverty in 3rd world countries. 😉

If you can test-drive it, go ahead and react accordingly. Just keep in mind that, in addition to all that's been said above, the RF alignment is also important. If you fall in love with it, and something falls short of perfect you can always get some kind of compensatory discount (say, the alignment is off and the cost of fixing it is approx. $100).

In any event, not unreasonable price if the camera is in the condition the seller claims.

If so, it looks to be in much rougher cosmetic shape. And he suggests getting a CLA.

Do you think so? He camera works beautifully. Once you remove the carcass and see it working, it works beautifully. Of course, you have to be a an artist and a technician to fully appreciate that. :bang:

If you get a warranty (about 7-15 days should be fine) why not? If you dont get a warranty and it only needs CLA well, its still a good price.

Should avoid it if you dont get a warranty.

You must buy on cosmetics and budget at least for a cla. Some will need need new curtains and various other repairs.

If you are lucky, you get a functioning camera out of the box.
