Watch that step!
Let's take a moment and remember that 69 years ago today many young American's were dying in a far off place that no one ever heard of before a place called
Pearl Harbor.......
A ammunition dump explodes as the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii continues.....the smashed and destroyed aircraft are seen here on the Ford Island NAS, Oahu.
On December 7th 1941 The Japanese Imperial Navy and Air Force conducted a surprise attack on the US Navy and Army Air Force bases at Oahu, Hawaii in the Pacific....please follow the link below to see and hear President Franklin D. Roosevelt's
"a date which will live in infamy"
speech to the US Congress and also to read more about what happened at that time in history....

And here's also more about the attack

My Father can remember were he was that afternoon when the bombs fell and recalls hearing over the car radio the news reports and the next day Dec 8th EVERYONE living in America was listening to the President giving the Pearl Harbor Address.......
It was a feeling like many of us had the day of the 9/11 attacks.
There are very few Pearl Harbor vets left living, but despite that we should NEVER forget what happened that day so long ago at a place were Americans fought and died defending their country in a attack that would plunge America into the most devastating and costly war of recent history the Second World War.
REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR!
