I just got a 75 lux lens and seems to be in great shape. However, I noticed that when I placed it on my m7 body I did not hear or feel a "click" from the lens release button. Can anyone comment on a similar experience or is there something up with my particular pair?

Once in a while someone has this issue with this or that lens on this or that body. Does the lens seem secure against being turned counterclockwise after it is seated? If not, I would investigate the cause. This is almost the last lens you want to have fall off the camera onto the pavement! My 75 Lux clicks in solidly on my MP and M6s. You shouldn't be having this problem.

Yeah, I wouldn't want that to happen. No problem on my m6--"clicks" as it should. It does seem/feel secure on the m7 but no click. Thx

I think as long as the lens cannot be turned counter clockwise when it's on the M7, it should be fine. Best to check everytime you mount this lens. Otherwise....

Cheers,

When I first got my MP I put a CV 12mm on it and took a number so shots, when I was changing the lens for a 50mm it would not click into place. I took it to a local photo repair shot recommended by my Leica dealer and it turned out to be a minor adjustment.

I certainly wouldn't get many good shots if I were wondering if my lens would fall off while I was at it. Best to get it checked.
