Hello all -- I've been pondering the possibility of getting ahold of one of these (at the expense of a kidney). I noticed today the lens is no longer listed on the Leica US site. Has there been an announcement of its cancellation? Has anyone heard tell of this.
Cheers,
Jim

There have been some error in the previous descriptions of the lens as with the advent of the M9 the editor simply exchanged M8 with M9. Thus there were wrong coments regarding crop etc. I guess someone is now simply updating the lens descriptions.

Regards
Steve

Its back up... I like this description:

"The focal length extension factor of the digital rangefinder camera turns the compact lens into a powerful telephoto lens with a focal length of 100 mm, making it an ideal partner of ambitious Leica M9 photographers."

Even they're confused about crop factors hehe.
Cheers,
Jim
