No. You have to put the code into your signature yourself, it used to be automatic. View source in a thread to see how its done - its not rocket science. 🙂

Actually on second thoughts go to UserCP in the menu bar above and edit this into your signature:

HTML:
My Gallery

Peter, unfortunately it is a somewhat like rocket science for me.

I did take the url and I pasted it into the box named "Your Signature" and hit "Save Signature" but nada. I gather I'm still not doing it right.

Mario, replace that with this....

(a href='http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=2193')My Gallery(/a)

but replace the brackets ( ) with < > (there will be two of each)

No, no Mario. Copy the exact text that Peter wrote inside the little "HTML Code" box, and put that in your signature. That's all you need.

Just a quick explanation. What you're trying to do is create a link to the web page that contains your gallery. On this bulletin board, there are two ways to do it:
 • Using the square brackets "[]" is vB code, a sort of custom language for marking special text (like links and coloured text) on this forum.
 • Using the angular brackets "<>" is called HTML, which is the foundation of the Internet and all web pages.
Either of those will work, and will end up in the same result.

Just one note, though: The link you've put into your signature goes to your profile, not your gallery. If you want to change it, use this link:

HTML:
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=2193

MAMMA MIA !!

I'm going to Disneyland!

Thanks to everyone for their help.

That should do it, I now have a gallery, okay just one photo but with more on the way. I'm good to go.

My new dream in life is to get to the point where I can help others through technical issues...not really.
