I am lucky enough to be going to the press conference next week and I wonder if any other RFFers will be there as well? Perhaps brunch or coffeee afterwards to discuss the developments?

Damaso: I don't think I'll have the credentials to get in for that one, but I'll certainly be up to meeting at a pub or the like (first round's on me) just to say Hi and shoot the breeze.
Edit: Heh...forgot that Leica scheduled this for 9AM in Gotham. Make that round coffee of tea.

No, I'm sure we can hit an Irish bar in midtown for a few pints around 11

I work in the area and will defiantly be making the scene. What time is the press conference?

We need a meeting place, lads. Count me in, and I know where the Time Warner building is (boy, I wonder if those guys are having second thoughts about paying for that thing). Since I'd guess most of us don't have an official invite inside, I think some advance planning is in order. I'll even scout out a decent local cafe in necessary.

May I suggest Brasserie, 100 E 53rd St. off Park Ave. as a meet up at 11:30 AM.
The Eggs Benedict dish is the best... it's the hollandaise.
BTW: I heard rumor that the Leica big shots made lunch reservations at the Oyster Bar.
Jim Lager might be there too... maybe.

I'd love to meet you guys so if you see me, be sure to say hello (I'll be the one with the anthracite M)... I don't know what I'll be doing after the event yet and my flight does not leave until 9:45 p.m. so I can definitely meet up whenever.

Perhaps we should meet at the press conference and go from there? Unless we can all agree on a meeting place and time. If someone wants to volunteer to give out their mobile number as a coordinator. Otherwise, catch as catch can...

This will be viewable to the public I'm guessing.

I'm not assuming such at all, but we'll see what happens. If Solms is smart, they'll want as many eyeballs as possible for this. They obviously have a lot riding on all this, so it pays to get maximum visibility. Of course, like I said before, I get weird ideas. This will be viewable to the public I'm guessing.

Its from your location in NYC. Mr Spiller will chair the session (about 45´) and some special guest* will have his "comming out" as a professional photographer.
* Everybody is rumouring- but the book with the name is really sealed .![]()

Also known as suburban hell. Believe me, I spent substantial parts of my childhood right there.
I envy you NYC guys, too, a few more years and I'll move.
