This was a series I worked on for over two years, documenting the visitors to The World Trade Center site and the building of the "Freedom Tower".
I have nothing to add to that day 14 years ago. If you were a New Yorker, or a commuter, living or working downtown, we all share our individual as well as collective stories. I have told mine many times. The world looked on. Many died. Many cried. Many cheered.
These images are for those share humanity's tears wherever there is unnecessary suffering.

Nice work, Keith. I agree, the faces are telling! Any more you would like to share?

There is a link at the top of the thread in the first post, but here it is again - http://www.pbase.com/keithbg/looking_on&page=all. It contains the whole project. A nice small video feature of this was done by Time.com last year.

I have been wanting to do a book, I have a mock-up, or an exhibition, but it so far no interest. Maybe not enough time has passed.

I hope I am not diluting any of Keith's thunder. I photographed the 5th anniversary on 9-11-06.

This homeless man came from California just to attend. I came from Florida for the same reason. But he hitchhiked while I flew.
