As usual, the lens has received great reviews — almost to be expected with any new Fuji lens. Most people have stuck it on an X-T1 — again, to be expected, since that's the darling of most Fuji photographers these days. But I will use it on my X-Pro1. I'm sure the lens will far exceed my ability to use it anyway.

I'd be interested in hearing from you if you're using that combination. Especially how it works with the OVF. I'm sure it would be easier than the old Leicas with a 135mm mounted. That was a very small patch to look at in the viewfinder! (Even the 2.8 version with goggles.)

I use a 1.25x viewfinder magnifier with the Hektor 135mm f/4.5 lens on the M4-2, or just switch to Live View and the EVF on the M-P. :)

Congratulations on your new Fujinon!

The difference between X-Pro 1 and X-T1 IQ is almost to small to think about.

The 90/2's early reviews are encouraging.

When I bought the X100 in the spring of 2011 I never imagined I'd eventually end up selling replacing my FX Nikon gear with Fujifilm. One of the main reasons I switched was the Fujinon lenses were superior (for my purposes) to all my Nikkors.

Right now I have both systems, Fuji and Nikon FX but, with age and changing requirements, I could see my selling the Nikon gear. (Just not quite yet.)

Hi Bike Tourist, congrats on your new 90mm!.
I own both the XP1 and the XT1 and I use 35mm and wider on the XP1, and 35 and longer + zooms on the XT1. When shooting people, my normal setup is the XP1 with the 23mm 1.4 and the XT1 with the 56mm 1.2.
I just dit a small experiment for you, trying to mount my 18-135 "walk around and hiking lens" on the XP1. I use the 3x3 grid in the OVF. When zooming in, the moment the "view rectangle" was as small as the middle rectangle of the 3x3 grid, the box went red, and zooming further in didn't change the view in the OVF. This was at approx 65mm.
So presuemably, the 90 mm won't work in OVF mode. (and if it does, the view would be very, very small indeed)

Hope this helps,

Thanks. Got the lens last night. When mounted, the 90/2 brings up the EVF. Today I'll get to the more important stuff, like making photographs.
