9000ED Anyone Disassemble Service/Repair?

My Nikon 9000ED loads the film holder, but then makes a slipping belt sound while the film holder attempts to move. I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and was able to repair the unit at home? I want to make sure that this isn't something that is easily fixed prior to shipping it off.

I've had this happen. The cause was either the film holder came unclipped or the film slipped in the film holder. Remove all the small screws that hold he cover on (about 20), do not remove the screws on the back plate that hold the plate to the internal workings, just the outbound screws. Slide the cover off the back. You know can remove the holder through the front and repair the problem. Once I had put a very small piece of scotch tape to hold a curled piece of film. That caused it also FYI.

It's easy, don't stress.

When I push the eject button, the film holder ejects. So, it will load and eject, but it makes a belt slipping sound and doesn't advance during the scan cycle.

Thanks for your suggestions. It encouraged me to open the 9000 up. I did so, found an area of the screw gear that had a bit more grease than the rest of the screw and I wiped it with my finger. I assembled the unit and it works. Wow, months of film withdrawal symptoms can be put to rest.
