I just went to a store I haven't known of. It's an honest to goodness 99 cent store. Where I live, we have a Dollar General and a Family Dollar, but try finding much there for one greenback. If any "five and dime" stores are still around, they exist in name only. This place has every thing for 99 cents except for a few items marked down to 69 cents.
While looking at Father's Day cards, I noticed a rack with a boat load of 200ASA print film. They are marked "a product of Japan." Has anybody tried this stuff? Is it the cheap Fuji film? For 99 cents, I figure I might try it. Can't be worse than expired film. The only thing that stopped me is the rack is near a window, so the sunlight can't be doing the film any good.

what's the brand? memories 200?
memories 200 is made on the former konica equipment/stock/formula and is an excellent film. it can only be bought from a chain of stores west of the mississippi. an RFF'er gave me a few rolls. really good stuff ...

at 99 or 69 cents a roll how can you go wrong? buy a roll shoot it up fast as you and get walgreens to process it ...

I think it did say memories 200.
I might try Walgreens. I tried CVS today. They did a better job than my local Walmart (I think their chemicals are old or contaminated).

if it's memories, you've got to bag some rolls.

"Some rolls?" They probably had 200 rolls on one display, and then another 20 or 30 by a cash register. I could clean up.if it's memories, you've got to bag some rolls.

I like that shot. She looks real happy. Was she in a race?
That's better color than the low end Fuji I've been using.

Sounds about right. I was walking south on 6th Ave. on the way to Bryant Park. Couldn't resist the irony.

I love this shot of the goat, I still haven't managed to get results like yours shooting and inverting the negs.

I would buy the hell out of that stuff.... I would stack up unprocessed, shot, rolls for a long time at that price.

it has a smooth, distinctive look to it. TX, you could buy 100 rolls, sell half for $2 a roll, and pay for your own film ...

I found a nifty utility online that deciphers the barcode on film canisters... and sure enough it IS fuji. but there is no product description for the emulsion. plus, there is other strange thing about it....
it says that it is a 400 speed film.. I know it is not, I've shot it at 400 in a pinch before, and it was way underexposed. maybe its worth another try at 400.
