Been nicer if the company that posted it didn't find it necessary to post there name across the middle in big letters. The Leica sign was nice.

Wetzlar looks much brighter now. I was there in 2017. It seems that the Leitz factory was not bombed. I wonder if that was Allied policy or just good luck for them?

Interesting that everyone looked fairly relaxed and in fact quite a few seemed pleased to see them. Probably relieved it was not the Russians.

The Russians had a lot of scores to settle from the German/Nazi invasion of the USSR. People think differently after their homeland has been invaded and so on...

That Critical Past channel is infuriating - they take other people’s movies that are available for free (but mostly not on YouTube) and plaster their ugly disruptive watermark all over it.
Wetzlar looks more inviting now. I’m generally pretty glad I missed the 1940s.

Interesting, thanks for the link. Are the civilans we see going back to their homes?
And yes, Wetzlar is nice today, I miss my usual almost yearly "pilgrimage" !

Shame someone always is trying to rule the whole world. Millions of lives lost and hundreds of cities destroyed.
It is starting again with 2 or 3 aggressive countries. Bless our service people who are trying to protect us.
