A few days ago I had a chance to take some pictures with 'lux 35/1.4 and Jupiter-3 on M8, two lenses with huge price difference. I found these two shots interesting to compare :
(Thx SixPM as my model and lending me the 'lux, and Louiskht for the cameras in the shots)

'lux

J-3

(Please don't judge the colours, it's the result of my poor post-processing skills, he he )

So you guys don't think this is an interesting issue to discuss ? Personally I love how M8 revitalize o9ld lenses. Any similar thoughts ?

Well, first I do not have an M8 and second it is hard to compare pictures that are so different in color tone and with different focus points.

Having said that, I have a J-3 that I use all time with my M5 and Bessa R2. So not sure why you need an M8 to rediscover old lenses. See this thread for photos from my J-3 and J-9.

Great examples with old lenses !

It looks like the focal point on the Lux was the right hand knuckles in front of the camera while the J-3 was on the hairline behind the camera. This made the Lux look a little tighter but overall, $$ for $$ I'd say the J-3 is a fine lens.
