i have a cold, a head cold.
i've had it since the weekend and i've been taking cold pills for days now, along with my favourite, neocitron, at night. i'm a bit woozy.

so, today, my 'new' bag, the m classic showed up in the mail. very nice, black and smaller than i expected. i like it.

i clean it up a bit and then start to transfer stuff into it, thinking about how i'm gonna arrange my gear, where will the film go, the light meter etc.

i reach into my storage case for the canon 7 and grab it --
i shove the light gathering window all the in! the glue gave under the pressure.
seems the frosted glass now is pushing on something that is attached to the focus cam and my lenses are stiff to focus.

i'm only using the digital from now on... :bang:

Dude, you need a vacation to slow things down.

I met Ray G today. Very nice to meet an other RFFer as usual. He had his Canon VI t and 35/2. I can't get them out of my mind.

that 35/2 is sooo nice, eh?

i did get some good news too, i just remembered.
the guy who sold me the 35/2 is sending me the hood he used on it, for free!!

and he's from new york so i invited him to meet up with us in june.

I'm on an infusion of Finlandia Vodka and Mountain Dew (ran outta beer). Very refreshing, it was 85 degrees F here today! Worked out the frustrations I had at work. I recommend heavy drinking.

And very, very sorry about the run of bad luck with the cameras.

Best Regards,

Bill Mattocks

Yes, it was nice putting a face to the name. We looked pretty suspicious in the parking lot, trading camera equipment out of the trunk of my car!

Feel better, Joe. So sorry to hear about your run of bad luck with the Canons. If you're not careful, the Leica folks will think that Canon's are more fragile than the M's. 🙂

...his Canon Vi-t...
Yes, that's the one I got from (Laptoprob) Rob last week. Got in from Holland safe and sound. Thank you, Rob.

ok, so, my bio rythms are low, i need some positive machine kharma, sorry i can't drink (migraines), i'm a libra and even a leica would have had a problem or 2 falling on to a concrete sidewalk.
the 7 was the frankencam that brian brought back to life so maybe i needed to be more gentle not to upset the beast.

ahh, such is life...
