My favourite of the three above is the middle one.
Hope you didn't have too much trouble with the traffic on the A23 - or your car??
Thanks for the links,
John

As you mention it...

The first in my series - on the A23 just outside Brighton. My old Mercedes 500SL is lovely but overheats. The only thing keeping it cool is me driving fast. So this caused a little problem... Got there in the end though
Old German cars -like old German cameras. A modern Japanese might be far more reliable, but I would rather the trouble and the funf.

Some beautiful shots in beautiful weather. When the English cricket fans arrive in Australia to cheer their team they are called the 'Barmy Army'. I don't think the balmy weather you had there was quite hot enough to send you barmy. But I could be wrong.

I stand corrected - though balmy is apparently the old English spelling of barmy (according to OED).
Any case, here is another

That first beach scene had lots of potential but you were just too far away. The lady with the book covering her face + the smoke + the kids in the background for depth.... could have used a several steps in.

I thought that too, although I quite like the space. But the moment passed. One of the reasons I switched to a 50mm during the day. But later, in the side streets, and with the 35, I got a very nice photo of a woman, again covering her face, much closer! Yet to be uploaded
