Well my addiction to the Olympus XA camera series now has a bit of colour added. To go along side my Olympus XA, XA2 and XA4 is a not so common XA2 in blue. Below is the ebay photo as listed in the auction. When it arrives I will do a family line up and post the picture here. Managed to pick this little gem up for £24, which I was surprised to get it for that as they can go for much much more

Out of interest does anyone else have a uncommon cloured XA2 varient, if so I would love to see an image of them

Cute in blue!

I have a red one that I was given:

XA2 by gray1720, on Flickr

I must confess that I've yet to really get my head round the three position scale focus, and it's very easy to lose the shutter button as the decisive moment turns into the decisive "oh flip why won't it fire?". Nonetheless I intend to persevere!

Zone focus is simple. In good light it is simply the middle setting needed for everything 1.2m to infinity. Landscape setting covers infinity in less than good light, whilst the close settting is 1m to 1.5m for portraits etc.

I like your blue one a lot Ixmike. Who wil post the white XA?
Thank you for your kind comment on the picture.

This morning I had a thought about colored models (having Konica C35 EF3 in mind, but still) - I'd like they share body and different colors are given to different focal lengths. Red for 28mm, blue for 35mm and white for 50mm. Or vice versa :)

Hi,

Hmmm, Red, White and Blue versions? You wonder what market they were aiming at...

Regards, David

PS then in the 90's the old Russian flag was revived; amazing foresight on the part of Olympus, but what do we expect of them?

yes its very interesting all the different colours, I have only seen one phograpgh online of the very rare pink XA2
