if a shrink says its normal then we now have medical endorsement, l am now starting to feel better:D

yes l know what you mean and some cameras are more tactile than others:)

I wouldn't say that any of my lenses actually produce images of inferior quality, but I definitely bond with cameras for reasons other than the lens, itself.

Bond, a good word to use in regards to our cameras, if l do not bond with a particular camera then off it goes

Unfortunately accidents can occur in that situation. I expect when the Tri-X is developed from my M2 I am going to have a whole run of clear strips from exercising the shutter in a half case with a lens cap on, not realising that it was more than just air I was winding on. Hopefully I will be wrong about that....I can't believe I could do that, but I also don't recall how the shutter count got to over 20 so quickly. Too many cameras.
 
Shooting frame after frame in a supposedly empty camera is as nice as opening a camera to watch the shutter work and to find out that there is a film in it;-(

I don´t think that a loud shutter is overall more satisfying - it´s the key that makes it good or bad (Nikkormat EL, loud but nice; Canon T70, loud but horrible (IMO))
