A couple more Monorail 4x5 images

I used some of the tips offered and did a test hike with my Cambo monorail. I used the Kelty Redwing suggested by DFOO and, once packed, it worked great. (But I am awaiting arrival of a 12" rail to ease the packing/unpacking ordeal.)

Not a long hike , but some scrambling on rocky, slick ledges was required. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

The 60's Schneider 135mm lens give pretty low contrast and shows some flare when directed into the setting sun filtered through the trees:

The thing that bothers me most is the blown highlights in both photos.

First photo, bottom left corner. White plant (the 3 leaves…or something) and the thin, round branch at the corner.
Near the top left, right at the edge, sort of halfway up the trunks, there's a tiny white patch…is that meant to be there?

2nd photo seems fine to me.
 
Isn't nice using large film.

BTW, I also had some old uncoated Schneiders. I got rid of them as the contrast was just too poor. Upgrade to something better.
 
First - to CNPHOTO - our second shot is great, but the last one is perfect!

xxloverxx - thanks for the comments - you are right about the highlights - I think i went to far in trying to adjust the contrast from the un-coated lens. I plan to rework them tonight and post revisions and would appreciate another review. The white area you mention seems to be a slight light leak in the holder (good eye).

Finder - I can see why one would want more modern lenses - but I currently only scan and print Inkjets so the low contrast is easily addressed. I sometimes like the "classic" low contrast look, but the associated flare is a different story - that could push me to a coated lens.
