a couple of Rolleiflex issues...

Hello everyone,

I've got a few issues with my Rolleiflex Automat (mx...evs) that I can't seem to get right.

the big one is the self-timer- no matter what I try, it won't work. the ring catches and the escapement buzzes, but it hits the shutter release ring and stops. now, there are a million things that could cause this, but is there something obvious?

and the winding crank won't stay flat in the folded position, it springs away. are the washers in the wrong order or something? this is not a huge deal but it's kind of annoying...

Sorry to say it might need a service. When I got my Automat there were a few things that did't work exactly as they should. With use it started to work better. I got it serviced anyway, and now nothing sticks and everything works perfectly.
If you decide to have it serviced I have recently heard there are a few places in Canada that can do it. I have had better luck with having my Rollei's done in the US. I will research the Canadian shops now should I need anything more.
