These are shot wide open . Still need to get use to the framleines and focus a little better. But, what the heck it's all part of the excitment.

Thanks for posting!

Nice shots! I Like the light-glow on their faces. Nice, sunny sundaymorning scene.

Did you do the black and white in the camera or afterwards?

Kind Regards from Holland,

Peter

These are as metered from the M8. I need to double check the settings. Maybe I have compensation factor in there.

Jorge ... many digis tend to overexpose (My D50 is always set at -0.7 ev)

With any camera getting used to it is absolutely paramount to creating its best images

I am sure in a week from now... everyone will be posting on the "Whats your M8 settings" thread

What a luck stiff, a beautiful family and a M8, U-DOG-U!!

I'm not sure if it is over from the average scene. You have a bit of detail in the dark shirt and while the faces are a bit bright, they are not totally washed out.

Might want to learn the pattern of the meter before saying its off. Do some testing with a grey card and a color wheel too. The price is right.

Pete,

While we're certainly itching to start shooting with the M8 which should be here mid-week, I certainly remember with fondness our Olympus 35rc.

We purchased said pocket giant of a camera in Japan when stationed there decades ago. What a well designed little camera it was too! We regret parting with it and am glad to see that others still see its value.

These shots are over exposed...
That wine keeps on comin'

I think the highlights were handled very well here, considering that what is prominent here is the dark shirt, and is surely what was averaged by the meter. This shows it can handle overexposure well!
