Here's a link to an article I wrote about the trip to Cuba I took last year that was published last week in the Miami Herald. I also took the images (the quality of the pdf isn't stellar) with my M8.

Thanks & congratulations. Good article. I can relate.

I always pick up a few copies of the Nuevo Herald in the Miami airport to bring to my friends in Cuba. They bypass everything about news and go immediately to all the advertising. They continue to be impressed with the variety of things we have for sale in the stores and the prices. I stay away from propaganda from both sides. But if the US Government wanted something effective, this would have to be #1. Imagine what impression the Sunday edition would make. For those who have not been to Cuba, their papers are 8-12 pages long.

A great article Damaso!
Glad to see a wider audience is getting a chance to see your work.
Thank you for sharing.

Damaso,

I have been following your Cuban work and am very impressed, but then I have been a fan of yours for sometime.:)

The article is a nice touch. Congratulations.

It was nice to get a written piece published. I contributed some photos to a Village Voice article in February but of course I had a different take on things. Glad you liked the piece Dave!

Hey,

The next time your are passing through Atlanta, give me a call. Would like to buy you a cup of coffee!!:)

You got it Dave! Let me know if there are any galleries down there I should be sending my work to, I hear they have a bit of an art scene down your way...

very cool!

glad to see that the son of the legendary Chico O'Farrell not only carries on the tradition, but also gets to have his picture taken and story told by someone of Mr. Reyes' stature.

If that wasn't enough, Damaso is also astute enough to draw the reader's attention to the direct line straight from Bird to Chico.

An impressive lineage well-documented by an impressive journalist. kudos to you!
