I took a drive down to Goldsboro, North Carolina today - just getting familiar with my new surroundings. I found that the downtown area of this small town had been shut down, and there was a carnival going on. Things like this just always happen to me. Fortunately, I had my Bessa R with me, so here are some pictures of a small-town carnival. Hope you like them!

Best Regards,

A camel. Would you walk a mile for one? (Sorry, old TV cigarette ad joke)...

Some kind of ride, I don't know what they call this one. But this little fellow seems to be having a good time!

Great sharpness in those photos. What lens were you using on the Bessa?

Nice, Bill! I particularly like that charming first one and the face painting. I got to "meet" camels when I was in the service; intriguing critters, though irritable.

Super very best and cutest of them all: face painting and boy in the ride with arm raised. Those are great and stand out from the rest. I'd make them into 5X7 prints and hang them in my studio.

For some reason, shots with people in them are so much better than those without... Good job!

Now, get yourself some tungsten film and check out the carnival night!
