Hi guys, I'have just bought a nice Fed 3b, so I left my Fed 5v as a present to a friend: I know that the 5v is more "modern", but the old 3b looks more "cool" to me
I kept the Industar 61 L/D for the 3b and put the Industar 61 "black and silver" on the 5v... In the use the 3b seems to have a smoother advance lever, but what I dislike from the 5v is the ugly face plate in the front: I really cannot understand why they decided tu but that stuff on the camera...

Nice camera, hope you get some good results from it. IMHO it was a good swap, I never did get out shooting with my Fed5, but my 3b is a classic shape and a great user.
Perhaps of interest, I did some comparison checks between all my Industar 61s (3 Panda and 3 black) and found that the scruffiest Panda was fairly clearly the best, with one of the other Pandas a close second. None were "bad".

Just to test the camera, I made some photo with the Panda and the L/D : I must say that my Panda didn't impressed me: ok, it was not a real "lens test", but my feel was that the L/D was just a little bit sharper , so I left the Panda for the L/D.
