Just a few pics from my shoot yesterday with the 21 and S2. Nothing special, but something to look at--I like this lens!! These are downtown shots of Walla Walla, WA.

I'm thrilled with this lens. Not too contrasty like I heard it would be. BUT, has anyone use Velvia with it!! That's the combo I'd like to hear about.

Very nice pictures!

I have never seen a Zeiss 21 in Nikon mount - where did you get this one and was it expensive !?
Jon

That would be the Zeiss 21/f4.5 lens made for the Contax in the 1950s which could and was used by a lot of the Nikon RF camera users.
Nikon only made a 21mm lens for its RF camera in 1959, at the tail end of RF camera popularity, so it was not very common as the Nikon F was introduced that year.

I bought it from Kevin Li ( kevinscameras ) and cost $1000. He seems to have quite alot fo them.

Walla Walla has been doing alot to rebuild it's downtown. Lots of historic buildings that are being renovated--lots of wineries coming into Walla Walla and setting up shop in these old buildings!

Nice photos. You seem to be stopping the lens down. When I shoot it wide open, there is more noticeable darkening on the corners, but it's so gradual that it doesn't distract from the image.

Vince I am stopping it down to about f8 or f/11. I don't need the higher shutter speed and I'm not sure where the sweet spot is with this lens. I like sharpness! And this lens is sharp!
