Hi !
I read through different posts that some of you have ruined eye glasses with (or because) the use or FSU rangefinders.
Of course, the all metal parts will do a lot of harm to our plastic lenses. But do not despair !
Go to a plumber shop or a mecanic spare shop and ask for an O ring seal the size of the outer diameter of the viewfinder eye piece. Glue it with super glue and Voila ! you're done with aneat discret custom FSU RF.
Last, some FSU RF have a T (or Z) speed setting. It is somewhat concealed, but... Look if the shutter firing button will turn when depressed. If yes, it has a bayonet style mark permitting to lock it depressed. So to keep the shutter open, arm, turn to B setting, fire the shutter and lock the shutter open with the lock... To close, unlock the triger ! I've this device on my Z3M and on my Z1 (but this is not the original part, as it seems the original part has been lost or damaged and replaced by a skilled person, apt to machine small parts ...)
Hope this helps !
Please share your tips !
