A few weeks with the M8

I've had my M8 for a few weeks now its was a bit of a impulse buy, but I've got to say I think its great! Would I use it for work (I'm a full time press photographer) no I don't think so but that doesn't stop me carrying it around in my bumbag when I'm at work and taking the odd picture. It seems to give you the feeling of shooting film and even with my old summilux 35mm its super sharp, it can't compete with noise levels on my Canon DSLRs but I can live with that.
Bottom line, its a great camera much better than I thought it would be!

If you photograph for money, use what you need; if you photograph for fun, use what you enjoy. Of course, the M8 can fit both cases.

glad to see that you're enjoying it. indeed, different camera serve different purposes. i only have a RF, but i'm not a press photographer, of course. it'll be interesting to see if it influences how you (a very experienced photographer) "see" when taking photos. it has had a dramatic influence on me, but--again--i'm light years behind you in experience.
