A friend brought up a question and I need help answering it.

I don't know what this is called and my friend didn't either, so I'm asking here.

Way back, many, many years ago, my friend had a Leica II. He bought a few Russian made lenses for it.... long story short, he took it to a shop that did some work to the lenses and set the Perpendicular to the Film Plane. He said before this work was done that one side of his pictures always looked like it was just a slight bit out of focus. He doesn't remember what this work they did was called and I'd never heard of it.

Anyone know? Any ideas?

Are there any known shops that still do this adjustment? I'm sure it's a little more than a CLA.

I assume you speak German.

You could ask some of them. I seem to remember that Olbrich has the equipment to do this.
