A good surprise of my own

Last week I ordered a new covering for my Zorki 4K from Aki-Asahi. As I commonly hear about his service, his communications were very quick and friendly. The kit took about 8 days to go from Japan to California, and only cost $14.00 with shipping! Not only that, when I opened my package, I found the kit I ordered, plus a second kit he included for free!. I'm not knocking the other place, but the quality of this kit is much better than the kit I ordered from his competitor a few months back (the cuts along the edges are much cleaner). Communications and shipping are also a lot better, even though he's on a different continent. Overall, the product quality, service, and generosity make ordering from Mr. Asahi a no-brainer. Plenty of people have been praising his products, and I join a long line of satisfied customers. I just felt that service this good needed to be pointed out and recognized.

Indeed Aki's communications are better, his shipping is swifter and his service is better but what I really find the clincher is that, as you say, the finish of the cut is better. While the Cameraleather cur for my M2 was satisfactory, Aki's cut for my M2 was spot on. Even in the corners I didn't find any roundedness of the cover where it wasn't wanted. Very straight, very sharp, very clean cutting.

It's a shame, a damn shame, quality and service in the USA has been relegated to some other status other than "your primary reason for business". American auto manufacturers still have not learned their lesson after 40 years!
This isn't brain surgery, it's cutting some material on a rule die and making a clean cut and providing a level of service that any buyer would expect. Sorry for the vent, but I hate to see American business give up so easily.
